For me, it has been a
personal transformation. From a starting point like most folks (I
believe) I didn't fully understand what value a Realtor can bring, to
being a proponent of real estate professionals, and in specific, of Dean
Selvey. I come by my pessimism honestly. I was born with it, as most Canadians are. But the pessimism was overcome by the experience I have had in acquiring a few house with the help of Dean Selvey. I am writing this letter
to express the gratitude of my wife, Sandy and I for the outstanding
service we received from The Dean Selvey Group in acting on our behalf
with respect to the purchase of our townhouse in Mesa, AZ. My first contact with The Dean Selvey Group took place in late July 2009. My telephone call was promptly returned by Mr. Dean Selvey who took the time to listen to the details of the type of property my wife and I were looking for. A short time later a team member from The Dean Selvey Group, called to introduce himself. We later exchanged a number of e-mails so that my wife and I could view available properties on-line and further refine our search. Given that neither my wife nor I had previously been to Arizona we were excited and somewhat challenged to find our “snowbird” home within the one week time frame and price range that we had set for ourselves. On Wednesday, August 12, 2009, we met our Dean Selvey Group Realtor in person and we began our property search. I am estimating that we viewed at least 30 properties over the course of the next three days. During the process we were educated by our Realtor on pretty much all aspects of purchasing property in the Phoenix area. His areas of expertise covered such things as investment properties, foreclosures, short sales, single family homes, apartment style condos and townhouses. By Friday, August 14th we were set to make an offer! The offer was accepted the following day. At no time did we feel intimidated by the process of buying our first property in the US. We have never before experienced the level of professionalism afforded to us by the staff at The Dean Selvey Group. I took my entire family
to Phoenix in March 2009 for a mini vacation. We really liked Phoenix
and decided to take advantage of the down turn in the real estate market
and buy a condo in a gated community. I started by surfing the internet
for information, availability, pricing, etc. etc. where I ran into
Condos for Canadian web site. I saw their website to be very thorough
and informative with a lot of good information and vast options. I got a
hold of them and they provided me more information based on my needs and
my interest. I had told them that I wanted to wait until Canadian
dollars gained some strength and they were ok and patient with that. In September I flew down to Phoenix, met them and they showed my a few properties that I had short listed. They provided me the most honest opinion on every property I viewed and at the end I ended up putting in an offer and buying a condo. I have bought a few properties but to this point the service that The Dean Selvey Group has provided me has impressed me the most. Being a Canadian citizen, they have created a seamless process for me to buy the condo. Everything went glitch free during the process. I took over my property and am more than happy with the service that have given me and are giving me even after the deal is done. I am back in Canada but they are still helping me take care of coordination for some unfinished business such as allowing the cable company, blind company, Home Depot for the washer and dryer to get into my place and do the installation. Overall this has been the happiest home purchase that I have done to this point and it has all been because the extraordinary service provided to me by The Dean Selvey Group. I highly recommend them.
